What is an estate sale?
If you’ve never been to one of our estate sales, you’re probably wondering what an estate sale is. Essentially, it is the process of selling your unwanted items, generating you money, while also providing the service of getting the home cleaned out. We conduct estate sales, as well as downsizing sales, with the intent of having every last item removed from the home. When would I have an estate sale?
This can be done prior to listing the home, in between contract and closing, or during any other time and for any other reason. They are generally very large sales filled with a variety of merchandise with the ultimate goal being to sell donate or remove every last thing in the home. What is the first step?
The first step, after deciding an estate sale is right for you, is to decide what you are keeping and what you are selling. After that, or once you more or less have an idea of what you’ll be selling, we can schedule a free consultation to come out and meet at the home. How is the estate sale performed?
After our initial consultation and scheduling of the estate sale, we will figure out a day for our team to come in and get the sale staged, priced, and ready to go. The amount of time this takes depends on the amount of items in the home and how difficult the staging process is. Our team is by far our greatest asset, and everyone has their role and we get right to work.
What does the service cost?
We work on a percentage basis, however, every job is different. Depending on the amount of labor, quality of items, logistical issues, and other factors the percentage can vary. Typically our percentage is between 35%-50%, or more, depending on the situation. With how many sales we’ve done, once we meet, we can quickly tell you what your rate will be.
What should I do prior to having an estate sale?
Your only job is to get everything out that you want to keep/don’t want to sell. We’ll handle the rest.
